Let’s start the Series with Lip Fillers…
Lip Fillers: What You Need to Know
Lip fillers have become increasingly popular, but there’s a lot more to them than meets the eye. At Vysana, we believe in a natural, balanced approach to aesthetics, especially when it comes to enhancing your lips. So, what should every practitioner do before administering lip fillers?
Understanding Your Lips, Your Needs and Your Concerns
Before any treatment, a thorough consultation is essential, even for returning patients. It’s crucial to discuss your concerns—whether it’s volume loss, skin texture, or changes in facial shape due to ageing. Lip fillers are not a one-size-fits-all solution; they are an art form where respecting the natural shape and symmetry of the lips is paramount.
The Art of Lip Fillers
A good lip filler treatment should not draw attention to the lips themselves but rather enhance the overall harmony of the face. Our goal is to ensure that when people look at you, their focus remains on your eyes, not your lips. This is achieved by respecting the natural lip parameters, such as maintaining the correct balance of volume and ensuring the lips stay within the natural width of the nostrils. In the video I show you exactly how we approach lips with a demostration of the only areas you should have fillers.
Before and After: The Transformation
We’ve had many successful lip filler transformations at Vysana, each one tailored to meet the individual’s needs. For instance, a recent patient wanted a subtle enhancement. After careful consultation and precise application, the results were natural, balanced, and volumised without appearing overdone. A little hydration with lip balm or emollient can further enhance these results. Watch the videos to see the great transformations.
From the Army to Aesthetics: Dr. Sunny’s Personal Journey
This week, I’m also sharing a very personal journey with you—the end of my military career. I retired from the British Army about 4 1/2 years ago after a fulfilling career as a Regimental Medical Officer. I served in various capacities, working with soldiers and their families, ensuring they were deployable, and travelling across the globe.
Why I Retired from the Army
I retired to focus more on family life. With two young daughters at home, I realised I was missing precious moments while being away on deployments. Today, as I transition to my new career in aesthetics and wellness, I bring with me the discipline, dedication, and a unique perspective shaped by my years of service.
Memories from the Field
From standing in queues to digging holes and supporting soldiers in training exercises, my time in the army was filled with unforgettable experiences. These memories remind me of the resilience and adaptability required in both military and medical careers. As I look back, I’m filled with gratitude for those years and excited about the journey ahead in aesthetics and wellness.
A Coming Health Storm: Are You Prepared?
Lastly, let’s talk about a pressing issue—the potential health storm on the horizon. Health inequality is a growing concern, and it’s something that we all need to be aware of.
Understanding the Health Inequality
Health inequality means that people in different parts of the country, or even within the same city, can have vastly different access to healthcare. Chronic diseases and conditions like cancer are becoming more common, partly due to modern lifestyles, stress, and environmental factors.
What Can You Do to Prepare?
Investing in your health is more critical than ever. Don’t wait until something goes wrong; be proactive. Simple steps, such as going for a brisk 30-minute walk daily, managing stress, and eating a balanced diet, can make a significant difference. The NHS and other healthcare systems are under strain, and there may be changes in how healthcare is accessed and funded in the future. Taking steps now can help you stay ahead of the curve and protect your health in the long term.
